About You
Vimachem seeks a dynamic Sales Engineer with 3+ years of experience to drive new business in the life sciences sector and introduce and sell new products to new and existing clients. This position requires excellent planning, organizational skills, and a strong understanding of the sector as the person will be a key point of contact for Vimachem’s clients and suppliers, providing technical advice, and answering queries.
What will you do as a Sales Engineer?
- Provide scientific support to existing and new Vimachem customers through daily communication
- Collaborate with the sales team to:
- Introduce new and existing products to Vimachem customers.
- Preparing proposals and product presentations.
- Maintain products and customer database.
- Investigate customer’s needs and try to find the best possible solution.
- Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls, linked in and emails.
- Establishing and maintaining strong and long-term, customer relationships.
- Prospect call/meeting preparation including company background research and other pertinent lead information.
- Enter, update, and maintain CRM information on activities, leads, prospects, and opportunities, preparing also sales reports.
- Preparation of marketing material such as newsletters and linked in posts.
- Maintain and build strong relationships with our existing and new suppliers.
- Try to source new suppliers and expand our existing portfolio.
The main qualifications for this Sales Engineer role are:
- University degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering or relevant.
- 3 years of experience in B2Β sales of raw and packaging materials, and/or consumables, medical devices and diagnostics.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to make technical presentations.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, yet also work independently.
- Very good knowledge of MS Office.
- Excellent command of English language.
- Driving license.
Desirable:
- Fluency in French or Italian.
- Prior use of ERP/CRM would be desirable.
- MSc/ MBA will be considered as a plus.
- Interest in sales and business development.
